Experts discuss topical issues in the paint industry

The Panel on the Current Problems of the Paint and Coating Industry in Russia and Ways of Solving Them was held within the conference programme of the Interlakokraska 2022 international exhibition. The event was organised by EXPOCENTRE AO in partnership with NIITEKHIM OAO, the Centrlack Association.

Galina Zhigareva, Head of the Department for Market and Development of the Chemical Complex and Gas Processing Products of NIITEKHIM OAO, spoke about the state of the paint and varnish industry in Russia in 2019-2021 and the forecast for the development of the paint and varnish market until 2024. Gennady Averyanov, Director of Centrlack Association, introduced the participants to the problems of statistical accounting of paint and varnish products. 

The panel discussion touched upon the issues of customs and tariff regulation of coatings market, the development of production of basic raw materials for coatings industry, measures of state support of producers and consumers of coatings and others.

At another Panel on Current Issues of Standardisation in the Paint and Coating Industry, industry experts discussed new approaches to standardisation in the industry, the regulatory and technical framework for enhancing the competitiveness of construction products, safety and quality of coatings in construction, and problems of applying the standard in the current environment.
