Post Show Report 20th Anniversary International Exhibition Interlakokraska 2016
From March 1 through 4 Expocentre Fairgrounds hosted the 20th anniversary exhibition Interlakokraska 2016 that became the main platform of the paints and varnishes industry. The show was organized by Expocentre ZAO and supported by the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, Russian Chemists Union, Mendeleev Russian Chemical Society, and Centrlak Association. It ran under the auspices of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
For the contribution made to the development of the paints and coatings industry and the chemical industry the Interlakokraska project was awarded the logos of UFI, the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry and RUEF, the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs.
This year the show organizers celebrated its anniversary in a particular way. They made a huge colored cake decorated in the Interlakokraska style and gave it to all participants.
This year the exhibition area accounted for 3,500 sq m and the exhibitors put on display a whole range of paints and varnishes based on different film formers, including powder, specialty paints and varnishes, wood protection paints and coatings, glues; raw materials for all types of paints and varnishes: pigments, solvents, fillers, film formers, stabilizers, additives and other chemicals; equipment for paint, varnish and coating production; coating equipment; tinting equipment; auxiliary chemical equipment; research and new technology applied in the industry; containers and packaging.
The participants in the anniversary show were 214 companies from 25 countries. Chinese manufacturers showcased their novelties in their national pavilion.
Along with globally known international companies such as DOW, Evonik, Omya, Covestro (Bayer Material Science), Chemour Chemicals (DuPont), BASF, Pulver Kimya and others, the Interlakokraska participants were also 100 Russian companies, among them SIBUR, Polyteg, Orgchimprom, Koelgamramor, Zhukovsky Machine-Building Plant, Tecsa, and other well-known manufacturers and suppliers of raw materials and equipment used in the paint and varnishes industry.
The show visitors viewed the latest Russian and foreign achievements, technology and equipment essential for development of paint and coating production in Russia. For four days of the trade show the number of professional visitors amounted to 4,392.
The Specialized Surface Treatment. Antirust Protection Salon and the Special Coatings Salon attracted special attention in the industry experts.
The key event of the Interlakokraska program was the International Coatings Forum organized by Russian Coatings Journal and Expocentre.
The Interlakokraska 2016 associated program also featured the round table on Russia’s Paints & Coatings Market in 2016: Forecast and Facts. The round table participants were representatives of major industry events.
